The geriatric 8 score as a predictor of postoperative outcomes in elderly patients undergoing esophagectomy.

Lower preoperative G8 scores were associated with higher rates of severe complications, reoperation, prolonged hospitalization, and readmission in elderly patients undergoing esophagectomy for esophageal cancer.
