One-pot divergent synthesis of 5-arylmethyl oxazoles and polyacenes from propargylic amides and arynes

We report a sequential one-pot gold-catalyzed cyclization/aryne cycloaddition strategy that affords structurally diverse 5-arylmethyl oxazoles and substituted polyacenes from simple propargylic amides.
