Pre-stroke functional status and prognosis following mechanical thrombectomy: Systematic review and meta-analysis.

The results support considering thrombectomy in selected patients with prior disability, while highlighting the need for individualized assessment, and the substantial heterogeneity in functional outcomes warrants cautious interpretation.
