TOMATO GROWTH REDUCTION CAUSED BY MELOIDOGYNE PARANAENSIS AND ITS BIOLOGICAL CONTROL BY FUNGAL AGENTS UNDER GREENHOUSE CONDITIONS

Meloidogyne paranaensis is recognized as one of the most aggressive root-knot nematode species affecting coffee crops in Brazil; however, quantitative assessments of its impact on alternative susceptible hosts and evaluations of biological control agents against this species remain limited. Although tomato is widely us...

Metarhizium anisopliae reduces Meloidogyne incognita reproduction and promotes tomato plant growth

The results demonstrate that M. anisopliae acts as both a plant growth promoter and an effective biological control agent against M. incognita, bringing greater prominence to the management of plant-parasitic nematodes, particularly root-knot nematodes in tomato.

Formulation-dependent efficacy of Bacillus velezensis BEIB-46 for the biological control of Meloidogyne incognita in cotton

Meloidogyne incognita is one of the main phytonematodes affecting cotton productivity, requiring sustainable control alternatives to chemical nematicides. This study evaluated the efficacy of different bioinputs based on Bacillus velezensis BEIB-46 for the biological control of M. incognita and their effects o...
