PRISM: Festina Lente Proactivity - Risk-Sensitive, Uncertainty-Aware Deliberation for Proactive Agents

Results show that principled decision-theoretic gating, paired with selective slow reasoning and aligned distillation, yields proactive agents that are precise, computationally efficient, and controllable.
