Macrophages in dental pulp: dynamic regulators of microenvironmental homeostasis and therapeutic targets in pulpitis
Current evidence on the origin, phenotype, and function of macrophages in the dental pulp is summarized, with particular emphasis on their interaction with DPSCs under inflammatory conditions.
