Planococcus alkaliphilus sp. nov., a novel bacterium isolated from the sediments of Jiaozhou Bay, China.

Strain 7D2-24T, an alkali-tolerant bacterium isolated from coastal sediments of Jiaozhou Bay, China, belongs to the genus Planococcus.
