Streptomyces sanguinis sp. nov., a Ceftriaxone‐Resistant Strain Obtained From Human Blood and Reclassification of Streptomyces thermospinosisporus as Streptomyces thermocarboxydovorans subsp. thermospinosisporus subsp. nov

The taxonomic position of an actinomycete, strain 15‐116AT, isolated from a blood culture of a 31‐year‐old male from the United States was determined using polyphasic taxonomic analysis. Genome‐based phylogeny showed that the strain was closely related to Streptomyces composti, Streptomyces thermocarboxydovorans, and S...

Polyphasic taxonomic description of Micromonospora aquaegermanicae sp. nov. and Plantactinospora tunisiensis sp. nov.

Two actinobacterial strains, DSM 43699T and JZT32T, isolated from water and soil samples collected in Germany and Tunisia, respectively, were investigated using comprehensive polyphasic taxonomic studies. The morphological and phenotypic features of the strains were consistent with those of members of the genera Microm...

GENOME-BASED RECLASSIFICATION OF Stenotrophomonas maltophilia 1800 AS S. geniculata AND GENOMIC INSIGHTS INTO ITS POTENTIAL CLINICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RELEVANCE

An in silico genomic analysis was performed on Stenotrophomonas sp. strain 1800 to clarify its taxonomic position and functional potential. The 16S rRNA gene sequence showed 100% similarity to S. geniculata ATCC 19374T, and both strains shared identical genome size (4.8 Mb) and G+C content (66.2%). Genome-based compari...

Actinopolyspora sabaoui sp. nov., a novel halophilic actinobacterium isolated from Ghardaïa soil, Algeria.

Comparative genomic analysis andylogenetic analysis revealed that the strain H202T belonged to the genus Actinopolyspora and showed the highest sequence similarity to Actinopolyspora mzabensis DSM 45460T, suggesting that this strain represents a novel species.
