Growth and Nutrients Uptake of Creeping Bentgrass(Agrostis stolonifera L.) Applying Compound FertilizerContaining Amino Acids

: This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of a compound fertilizer containing amino acids (CFAA) on the growth and quality of creeping bentgrass ( Agrostis stolonifera L.) and to investigate nutrients uptake. Treatments were as follow. No fertilizer treatment (NF), control (compound fertilizer 3 active ingredient nitrogen g/m 2 ), CFAA-1 (control+1 mL/m 2 ), CFAA-2 (control+2 mL/m 2 ), and CFAA-3 (control+4 mL/m 2 ). Changes in soil properties following CFAA application were negligible, indicating minimal alteration of soil chemical properties. Compared to the untreated control, CFAA treatments exhibited increases in growth and quality parameters, including turf color index, chlorophyll a+b content, shoot height, clipping yield, and shoot and root dry weights, as well as nutrient content and uptake such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Significant positive correlations ( p ≤ 0.01) were observed between CFAA application rates and growth parameters, as well as nutrients uptake. These results indicate that CFAA application enhances nitrogen uptake, which is associated with increased chlorophyll a+b content and biomass production, ultimately contributing to improved turfgrass growth and quality.
