Leveraging Discrete Function Decomposability for Scientific Design

A new distributional optimization algorithm, Decomposition-Aware Distributional Optimization (DADO), is proposed and demonstrated that can leverage any decomposability defined by a junction tree on the design variables, to make optimization more efficient.
