An Integrated Blockchain and Zero-Trust Security Framework for Distributed Network Protection

Distributed networks are growing in size, and data sharing is increasingly necessary. Traditional security models can be susceptible to cyber threats like data tampering, insider attacks, identity spoofing, and unauthorized access. In order to solve these problems, this paper introduces a Blockchain-Based Zero-Trust Security Framework (BZTSF) which combines decentralized identity management, continuous trust evaluation, smart contract-based access control, and blockchain technology. The framework to be designed guarantees the secure authentication, transparent authorization and tamper-proof transaction management. The authentication accuracy, access control success rate, security threat detection rate, transaction throughput, and access latency were used to evaluate the performance. Experimental results validated the authentication accuracy of 98.5%, access control success rate of 98.9%, threat detection rate exceeding 96% and access latency of 102 ms. The results validate the capabilities of the BZTSF, demonstrating its ability to securely share data in a distributed network environment while offering a scalable, efficient solution.
