The proposed adaptive enhanced self-reinforced retinex projection (AESRRP) model achieves a competitive performance with the state-of-the-arts methods like URetinex++ and outperforms the existing methods including modern neural networks like UTVNet, and its predecessor ESRRP in quantitative metrics.
