Genome sequence data of the chitinase-producing bacterium Paenibacillus mucilaginosus YWY-5.1

The draft genome of P. mucilaginosus YWY-5.1 isolated from Vietnam provided a valuable genomic resource for future functional and biotechnological investigations toward crop production and related fields and improved understanding of the biodegradation capacity and agricultural potential of this beneficial bacterium.
