MED1 in cancer: a context-dependent transcriptional regulator
An evidence-weighted, locus- and complex-centered framework to reconcile the MED1 paradox is advanced and it is proposed that MED1 output is determined by lineage-specific transcription-factor recruitment, genomic occupancy, signaling-dependent modification, chromatin state, and cellular context.
