Predictive Contribution of Clinical Measures of Ankle Neuromuscular Impairments to Ankle Kinematic Deviations During Gait in Children With Cerebral Palsy

ABSTRACT Introductions Children with cerebral palsy (CP) commonly exhibit neuromuscular impairments that affect ankle motion during gait. These include hypertonia, muscle weakness, poor selective motor control, and restricted range‐of‐motion. However, their individual and combined impacts on sagittal ankle kinematics r...

Long-term robot-assisted gait training in patients with cerebral palsy: meaningful changes in gait parameters require time

Systematic, repetitive gait training based on RAGT in patients with CP was associated with long-term positive changes in spatiotemporal gait parameters and walking endurance, while clinically meaningful changes in gait kinematics, as quantified by the GDI, were limited across all GMFCS levels.
