Individual differences in hearing decline predict region-specific brain and cognitive changes in healthy aging men

The combination of PTA and HINT together showed the strongest contribution to classifying previously defined cognitive trajectory groups, and bilaterally combined temporal lobe volume and cerebellum and fourth ventricle were key MRI features influencing HINT.

Sleep microstructure and cognitive trajectories in healthy aging: Insights from a longitudinal cohort study.

Baseline sleep microstructure, including spindle, slow-wave dynamics and EEG coherence, was associated with cognitive aging and may provide candidate markers of cognitive resilience or decline, and support further longitudinal studies to determine their predictive value for neurodegenerative disease.
