A score to predict postoperative acute renal failure (ARF) after liver resection is developed and validated based on the preoperative parameters of age, gender, pre-existing chronic renal dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, bilirubin and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels.
