In vivo single-molecule tracking of the CHD remodeler Hrp3 in live Schizosaccharomyces pombe cells demonstrates that Hrp3 chromatin binding is highly sensitive to epigenetic modifications and chromatin compaction and cannot be fully predicted from in vitro studies alone.
