587. Female-specific role of interleukin 6 and C-reactive protein in individuals with major depressive disorder and comorbid obesity

Increased IL-6 and hsCRP showed a female-specific role in immunometabolic depression, with IL-6 emerging as a potential diagnostic biomarker, and the need to further investigate sex-specific immune biomarkers to inform sex-specific targeted treatments for this population is highlighted.
