Safety and immunogenicity of the synthetic carbohydrate conjugate vaccine, SF2a-TT15, against Shigella flexneri 2a in infants in Kenya: a phase 2a, age-descending, dose-escalating, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled study.

The primary outcomes were the incidence of adverse events in all cohorts and immunogenicity in the infant cohort, as measured at days 14 and 28 after each injection and at the end of the study by serum IgG antibodies to SF2a lipopolysaccharide and proportion of responders.
