ENDOPHYTIC FUNGI: SOURCES OF ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOUNDS

It is concluded that endophytic fungi represent promising sources of antimicrobial metabolites, although further pharmacological and preclinical studies are required to assess their applicability in the development of new therapeutic agents.
