Depression, Anxiety and Stress in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Their Relationship with Disease Activity: A Cross-Sectional Study Using DASS-21

Depressive symptoms were relatively common among patients with RA but did not differ significantly according to CDAI disease activity, suggesting psychological morbidity may represent an important dimension of RA that is not adequately reflected by conventional measures of clinical disease activity.

Cardiovascular Autonomic Dysfunction Across Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Activity: Assessment Using Autonomic Reflex Tests, Heart Rate Variability, and COMPASS-31

Abnormal cardiovascular autonomic reflex responses were frequent within this RA cohort, particularly for parasympathetic tests, and the non-linear and method-dependent pattern suggests that autonomic involvement in RA is complex and is not uniformly captured by a single assessment modality.
