FORCED DISPLACEMENT AND ETHNIC IDENTITY: PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING OF UKRAINIAN FRESHMEN IN WARTIME
. The article examines the features of psychological well-being and ethnic identity of first-year students in conditions of forced displacement caused by a full-scale war on the territory of Ukraine. The relevance of the study is due to the need to study the psychological consequences of military events for students who are outside the country, but continue their studies in higher education institutions of Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the preservation of ethnic identity and the psychological well-being of students in conditions of social uncertainty, adaptation to a new socio-cultural environment and distance education. The purpose of the study is to determine the features of psychological well-being of first-year students of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy and the Faculty of Agrarian Management of the National University of Life Resources and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, who are abroad due to the war, but remain university students and study on individual schedules. The study involved students who temporarily reside in the countries of the European Union. To collect empirical data, the methods of questionnaires, interviews, psychological interviews, observation and analysis of respondents' responses were used. The study was aimed at identifying the level of psychological well-being, features of adaptation to new living conditions, emotional state, sense of belonging to the Ukrainian nation and the significance of ethnic identity in conditions of forced displacement.
