HiHPO is proposed, a multimodal, hierarchy-aware graph contrastive learning framework for predicting protein-phenotype associations that consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods and preserves semantic relationships among phenotypes and improves generalization to fine-grained and sparsely annotated terms.
