Alginate hydrogels as carriers of coumarin derivatives and a phosphonate analog: characterization by Raman and FT-IR and biocompatibility evaluation.
Overall, the developed hydrogels provide a safe matrix primarily with physicochemical functionality and only preliminary biological indications, rather than demonstrated therapeutic efficacy.
