The Relationship Between Left Atrial Epicardial Adipose Tissue Volume and Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction in Patients with Non-Obstructive Coronary Artery Disease

Objective To investigate whether epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) volume correlates with coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) identified via invasive physiological evaluation, in comparison with EAT attenuation. Percentage of Low-Attenuation Epicardial Adipose Volume (LAAV%) as an Independent Predictor of Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction: A Retrospective Cohort Study

Low-attenuation areas of EAT, particularly as quantified by standardized LAAV%, are strong independent predictors of CMD and the integration of LAAV% into non-invasive risk assessments may improve diagnostic accuracy and help inform targeted interventions for CMD.
