Mechanistic insight into menthol-nicotine interactions is provided and considerations relevant to mentholated e-cigarette products are highlighted, suggesting that menthol modulates nicotine's pharmacological and behavioral effects, potentially through α4β2* nAChR-dependent mechanisms.
