The Post-Stress Epigenome: Mechanisms of Recovery and Persistence
This work uses epigenetic recovery capacity as a conceptual framework describing the extent and rate at which altered epigenetic features return toward a defined pre-stress or homeostatic state and proposes that this capacity, together with stress burden and locus susceptibility, may shape post-stress fate.
