Chunk-level, Massive Text Embedding Benchmark (MTEB)-compatible retrieval benchmarks are constructed and medium-to-large chunks combined with fixed-token, recursive-token, or hierarchical-section chunking provide a practical starting point for the retrieval stage of chemistry-aware RAG.
