It is indicated that CX3CL1/CX3CR1-dependent microglial phagocytosis of OPCs might contribute to sevoflurane-induced myelination impairments in neonatal mice, and provides a potential therapeutic target for preventing anesthesia-induced developmental neurotoxicity.
