Abstract
Genetic analysis has become central to precision management in thyroid cancer. The 2025 American Thyroid Association (ATA) Guidelines greatly expand the role of genetics in thyroid cancer management compared with 2015. Molecular profiling is now used not only for indeterminate nodules but also to guide systemic therapy, refine surgical planning, and identify hereditary syndromes such as PTEN hamartoma tumor syndrome, DICER1-related disease, and Werner or Carney complex. High-risk somatic alterations including BRAFV600E + TERT and related mutation combinations are emphasized for their strong association with recurrence, aggressive behavior, and poor RAI response. A major advancement is the use of somatic profiling to guide targeted therapy in metastatic or RAI-refractory disease, with strong recommendations for RNA-based next-generation sequencing to optimize detection of actionable RET and NTRK fusions. Overall, the 2025 ATA guidelines reflect a shift toward highly individualized care, using molecular data to optimize risk stratification, treatment selection, and follow-up intensity.
The management of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) has undergone a significant paradigm shift from aggressive surgical intervention toward a more individualized and conservative approach. The 2025 American Thyroid Association (ATA) guidelines reinforce the principle of “less is more,” emphasizing risk-adapted, patie...

BACKGROUND
Children and young adolescents with papillary thyroid cancer (CAYA-PTC) have high recurrence rates. Current guidelines advocate intensive treatment, yet existing risk stratification systems lack integration of genomic characteristics and provide limited precision in guiding surgical extent and postoperative...

The transition from the American Thyroid Association (ATA) 2015 to 2025 guidelines for differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) reflectS a paradigm shift toward personalized, risk-adapted surgical strategies. Recent evidence supports thyroid lobectomy as an adequate treatment for selected low-risk patients with small, intra...

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is characterized by aggressive behaviour, high tumor heterogeneity, and an increased likelihood of recurrence and early metastasis. These factors hinder successful treatment. Genetic diagnosis enables personalized clinical recommendations and treatment options. The objective of this...

The management of thyroid cancer has advanced through the integration of molecular imaging, genomic profiling, and bioinformatics, supporting precision oncology across diverse subtypes. Although radioiodine imaging and therapy remain standard for differentiated thyroid cancers, efficacy can be limited in refractory cas...
