TL;DR

This study aimed to investigate the association between EASIX and both CVD prevalence and CVD mortality in individuals with RA using a nationally representative sample.

Abstract

Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are at increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD); however, effective risk stratification tools remain limited. The Endothelial Activation and Stress Index (EASIX) is a composite biomarker reflecting endothelial injury and cellular stress, but its association with CVD in populations with RA remains unexplored. This study aimed to investigate the association between EASIX and both CVD prevalence and CVD mortality in individuals with RA using a nationally representative sample.

Association of endothelial activation and stress index with cardiovascular disease prevalence and mortality risk in older adults in the United States: a population-based study

The association between endothelial activation and stress index (EASIX) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in older adults remains largely unexplored, lacking large-scale evidence. The objective of this study was to examine the association between EASIX and CVD prevalence in the U.S. population aged ≥ 60 years...

ARTHRITIS

In this cross-sectional cohort, disease activity was more strongly associated with AVI than disease duration, and RA disease activity is closely associated with increased arterial stiffness and higher estimated 10-year ASCVD risk.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death and disability globally. Thus, prevention efforts aimed at reducing CVD events allow for greater functional independence and wellbeing over the course of life. Low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol is causally associated with atherosclerosis and is the primary ta...

Association between endothelial activation and stress index and all-cause mortality risk in cerebral infarction patients

Acute cerebral infarction (ACI) is a major cause of global morbidity and mortality, with endothelial dysfunction being a key factor in its pathophysiology. The Endothelial Activation and Stress Index (EASIX) is a novel biomarker reflecting endothelial injury and systemic stress; however, its prognostic role in mortalit...
