Abstract
: Technological improvement and the industrial expansion raise dust pollution, thereby high-efficiency and large-capacity electrostatic precipitators (ESP) become core equipment for industrial air pollution control. The working mechanism of ESP primarily relies on the coordinated interaction of the discharge electrode, dust collection plate, power supply system, and airflow channel. Its practical value and effectiveness in practice remain unclear; this paper analyzes the application of ESPs in some factories and suggests and designs solutions for some problems. This paper employs case study analysis to examine three critical aspects: insufficient ESP purification efficiency and secondary pollution in highway tunnels, advantages of wet ESP, and efficiency degradation caused by insulation deterioration. To address purification inefficiency and secondary pollution, a narrow-pole-gap electrostatic precipitator was developed and optimized for high-flow environments. This research demonstrated the high efficiency of ESP through China's first successful application case at Shenhua
It is well known that micrometre-sized particulate matter from burning boilers represents an important health hazard for humans and animals. In this article, a few designs of cylindrical-type electrostatic precipitators (an element has a 354 mm-long aluminium cylinder with 40 mm inner diameter without and with reduced...
