Lexemes Explicating the Concept of «Love» in the Novel «Setun» by A. Kalinkina
Abstract
The article examines the semantic and connotative-evaluative transformationsarticle is devoted to the consideration of the features of explication of the concept of «love» by means of lexemes based on the novel by A. Kalinkina «Setun». Introduction. The relevance of the study of lexemes explicating the concept of «love» in modern literary texts is due to the dynamic expansion of the cultural and linguistic paradigm, which is associated not only with the relative novelty of the direction, but also with a fruitful synthesis with rapidly progressing fields of scientific research: neurolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, and automated analysis of natural language structures. Of particular value is the analysis of the semantic architectonics of ethical concepts in the genre space of modern post-apocalyptic prose, in the texts of which semantic transformations of axiological notions are observed, including the concept of “love” in Russian-language literary discourse. Aim: to analyze the content of lexemes explicating the concept of «love» based on the novel by A. Kalinkina «Setun». Methodology, methods and techniques. To achieve the set goals and objectives, the method of scientific literature analysis and the cognitive analysis developed by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson were employed [17]. Results. Based on the results of the study, the defenition of the concept “love” as a communicative and linguocultural phenomenon is presented. In addition, the key lexemes that the author uses in the process of explicating the concept of "love" in the author's artistic world of the novel «Setun» are listed. The scientific novelty consists in clarifying the semantic transformations of the ethical concept of «love» in the novel «Setun», which reflect the transformation of the moral understanding and re-evaluation of the ethical category under the influence of extralinguistic factors of the communicative space of the literary text. The practical significance of the research results is related to the fact that the materials obtained can be used in the analysis of communicative situations in post-apocalyptic novels with students in classes on stylistics, cognitive linguistics, linguoculturology, and philological text analysis.
