DIGITALIZATION OF EDUCATION IN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC: A HISTORICAL OVERVIEW
Abstract
The article examines the main stages of establishing and implementing regulatory frameworks for the digitalization of various sectors of public life, including the education system, in the Kyrgyz Republic. It analyzes key concepts accompanying digital transformation, as well as the trends, challenges, and difficulties encountered in the process of implementing state digital policies. Particular attention is given to the analysis of the existing legal framework, strategic documents, and programs aimed at developing digital infrastructure and creating a unified digital environment in the country. The study highlights the experience gained through national and international digitalization projects, the introduction of information and communication technologies into the educational environment, and the development of e-learning and distance education platforms. The achieved results of digital transformation are discussed, along with existing problems such as low levels of digital literacy, limited resources, and the need for methodological support for educators. Based on the analysis, priority directions for further development of digitalization in education are proposed: improving the legal and regulatory framework, enhancing digital competencies of education participants, developing methodological recommendations, and effective models of distance pedagogy. The article emphasizes the importance of an integrated approach to digital transformation, involving close cooperation between the state, educational institutions, and the professional community to ensure sustainable results and successful integration of innovative technologies into educational practice.
