FEATURES OF EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT IN MODERN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS BASED ON INNOVATIVE PRINCIPLES
Abstract
The article explores the characteristics and key vectors of transforming the educational management of a modern higher education institution (HEI) on an innovative basis. The limitations of the traditional hierarchical-bureaucratic administration model under high external turbulence, digitalization, security challenges, and the expansion of academic autonomy are substantiated. Leading scientific approaches to the innovation of educational management are systematized, proving the need for a synergistic combination of flexible organization, digital technologies, and mentoring leadership. The evolution of university models is analyzed, where the HEI serves as a driver of the knowledge economy, a hub for technology transfer, startup culture, and the "triple helix" concept (education–business–government). Global experience and operating principles of Universities of the Third Age are revealed as an example of innovative educational leadership, social integration, and the practical implementation of the lifelong learning concept. Strategic prospects for the development of a modern HEI are identified, including the implementation of agile methodologies (Agile), the institutionalization of a project-based approach, shifting the manager's role from "controller" to "leader-mentor", creating a psychologically safe environment, and actively engaging stakeholders.
