RIS-Aided CNOMA systems over ( κ−μ) fading channels: performance analysis with imperfect CSI
Abstract
The cooperative Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system illustrates a prospective MA approach for future wireless communications. Line-of-sight communication is becoming more difficult to meet the needs of a modern society. As a result, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) technology has emerged in proposed system. Consequently, this technology improves the efficiency of conventional CNOMA system by including RIS components. Efficiency of proposed RIS-Aided CNOMA system is assessed under ( κ−μ) generalised fading channel with its special cases being One-sided Gaussian, Rayleigh, Nakagami and Rician fading channels. The evaluation is carried out by changing the value of fading elements κ (power ratio) and μ (multipath clusters). The evaluation also explores the effect of perfect and imperfect channel state conditions on proposed system through simulation results. Finally, the obtained results of the proposed RIS-Aided CNOMA system are compared with the traditional CNOMA system under Nakagami fading when ( κ=0 and μ=2). The Ergodic capacity an enhancement of 8.57% and outage probability achieved 64.3% improvement. Monte Carlo simulation is used to get the accurate results.
