Abstract

This study aims to examine the classroom management practices employed by teachers during the implementation of integrated learning in primary schools. Classroom management plays a crucial role in supporting the success of the learning process, particularly in integrated learning, which connects multiple subjects under a single theme. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were lower-grade teachers at a public primary school. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the teachers implemented classroom management by systematically planning lessons, creating a conducive learning environment, employing student-centered teaching methods, and utilizing various instructional media. However, the implementation of integrated learning still faced several challenges, such as limited instructional time, diverse student characteristics, low student concentration levels, and a scarcity of available instructional media. To address these challenges, the teachers adopted several strategies, including the use of concrete learning aids, the integration of educational games, flexible student grouping based on needs, and the establishment of effective communication with students. Based on the findings from SD Negeri 2 Kragilan, it can be concluded that effective classroom management fosters a learning atmosphere that is active, conducive, enjoyable, and meaningful. These conditions contribute positively to the successful implementation of integrated learning in primary schools.
