Results show that standardizing the host-interface layer reduces both the engineering cost of PIM simulator development and the energy overhead of simulation-driven workload evaluation, while reducing host CPU utilization and package energy by up to 50% on transfer-intensive workloads.
VIPER is presented, a unified, lightweight, and architecture-aware performance evaluation framework for PIM DSE, providing rapid architecture-aware performance estimates for iterative DSE without repeated cycle-accurate simulation.

Computing-in-Memory using DRAM (CIMD) has demonstrated substantial energy and throughput gains for memory-bound workloads consisting of bulk-bitwise operations, by performing computation directly within DRAM subarrays. Realizing CIMD, however, requires a redesign of the memory controller and careful mapping of operands...

LMTracer is presented, a fine-grained and real-time performance profiling framework for production LLM services that embed profiling logic into the execution through graph-embedded probing and streaming buffered profiling data to CPUs on demand to keep the execution of user kernels uninterrupted.

A hardware-software co-design framework that unifies distributed compute, memory, and communication into a seamless processing-communication fabric is presented and a prefill-decode disaggregation approach that dynamically reconfigures PE organizations to maximize resource utilization is presented.
PANEM is presented, a lightweight event-driven heuristic model that has guided four generations of commercial server-core development at Ampere Computing and shows that a calibrated, contention-aware abstraction can deliver practical predictive value for industrial design-space exploration at simulation costs similar t...
A remote Spectre attack that leaks a JWT token from a co-located victim worker in the Cloudflare Workers production environment is demonstrated, outperform the existing attack by orders of magnitude.
