Abstract
Management and cost accounting have become essential tools for supporting strategic decision-making, efficient resource utilization, and organizational performance in modern businesses. Beyond traditional functions such as budgeting and financial reporting, contemporary accounting practices incorporate advanced techniques to improve cost control, performance measurement, and competitive advantage in an increasingly globalized and technology-driven environment. This study emphasizes the importance of accurate cost information in planning, controlling, and evaluating business operations while addressing challenges in implementing effective accounting systems. Using the MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis) method, the research evaluates five alternatives (A1–A5) based on four criteria: Wear Resistance (P1), Load Carrying Capacity (P2), Coefficient of Friction (P3), and Environmental Impact (P4). The findings reveal that A3 secured the highest overall ranking, demonstrating superior performance across the selected criteria, whereas A2 received the lowest ranking. The results confirm that the MOORA method provides a reliable framework for corporate management and cost accounting decision-making by identifying the most effective alternative for improved organizational performance.
