2026 · SCIENTIFIC LIFE · 0 citations

Abstract

The article examines the influence of the human factor on the safety of the motor transport process, and notes the need to take into account the individual psychological characteristics of drivers. The human factor, which is often the cause of road accidents and incidents on the road, can be defined as action or inaction, as well as human errors, intentional or unintentional, that negatively affect the operation of the system or the successful completion of a particular task. A change in the functional state causes fatigue in the driver, which in turn leads to an increase in his reaction time, which affects road safety. In the modern world, improving road safety is one of the priorities of government policy and scientific research, since most accidents are related specifically to the behavior of road users. The article discusses methods for improving safety by improving the professional training of drivers, introducing automatic monitoring and raising awareness of road users. Emergency statistics are analyzed and the most dangerous conditions and types of violations related to the human factor are identified. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the causes related to traffic violations, fatigue, high stress levels and emotional instability. The article highlights the importance of creating a culture of safe driving, improving the level of professional training of drivers, and introducing modern vehicle control and automation systems. The need for an integrated approach to reducing the impact of the human factor, including organizational and pedagogical measures, is emphasized, which will improve the level of road safety and reduce the number of road accidents.
