TL;DR

Abstract

The increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) has changed the way information is handled and how libraries support people. AI technologies help libraries develop chatbots, machine learning tools, recommendation systems, and intelligent search functions more efficiently. The media plays an important role in sharing news about these AI innovations and shaping how people perceive libraries. This paper examines how the media raises awareness about the effects of AI on libraries from political, social, ethical, and technological angles. The study uses a descriptive analysis with a focus on quantitative and conceptual methods, using data from 2020 to 2025. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify important changes related to AI and libraries. The findings show that the media has a significant influence on the adoption of AI by sharing information and encouraging discussions. Politically, governments influence the use of AI by providing information and creating an inclusive information system. However, AI also brings risks such as data security, biased algorithms, misinformation, privacy concerns, and the digital divide.
