Abstract
This paper addresses the stabilization problem for a perturbed double–integrator affected by a bounded perturbation featuring a constant upperbound which is a priori unknown. We propose an adaptive feedback law, composed by the interconnection between a linear state-feedback controller and the twisting controller with two automatically tuned non-decreasing time-varying gains adjusted by gradient-based laws. A Lyapunov analysis, complemented by a Barbalat-based argument, is developed to certify the asymptotical stability of the closed loop system. The analysis provides a closed-form bound for the adaptive gains and it constructively yields simple design conditions for the controller parameters. We prove boundedness of all closed-loop signals and establish asymptotic convergence of both state variables to the origin without requiring prior knowledge of the disturbance bound. Simulation results are presented to corroborate the theoretical findings.
This paper investigates the problem of observer-based stabilization for a class of nonlinear fractional-order systems affected by bounded disturbances. The considered nonlinearities satisfy the quasi-one-sided Lipschitz condition, which generalizes the classical one-sided Lipschitz property and allows treating a broade...

A nonadaptive design that combines an input-driven filter and a generic internal model with a recursive backstepping law is developed, thereby recasting the regulation problem as the robust input-to-state stabilization of an augmented error system.

This paper proposes an LMI-based framework for robust decoupling control of uncertain fractional-order MIMO systems with input quantization and constant reference tracking. The closed-loop dynamics are decomposed into diagonal and interaction components, and the decoupling problem is formulated using a singular-value-b...

This paper investigates the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) problem for discrete‐time linear systems with redundant inputs. Under stabilizability and detectability assumptions, two monotonically decreasing sequences of upper bounds are derived for the stabilizing positive semidefinite solution of the discrete‐time a...

This paper addresses the fixed-time adaptive stabilization problem for a class of underactuated mechanical systems governed by Euler–Lagrange dynamics with matched parametric uncertainty. Unlike conventional adaptive schemes that guarantee only asymptotic convergence and usually assume stable internal dynamics, we deve...
