Brane tilings are bipartite graphs on a 2-torus that encode the Lagrangians of 4d N=1 supersymmetric gauge theories arising on D3-branes probing toric Calabi-Yau 3-folds. Among these bipartite graphs, only those that satisfy geometric consistency conditions correspond to well-behaved quantum field theories. We train a convolutional neural network (CNN) to distinguish geometrically consistent from inconsistent brane tilings directly from their Kasteleyn matrices. We study a family of 4d N=1 theories obtained by adding diagonal edges to the hexagonal faces of the brane tiling for the abelian orbifold C^3/Z_3 x Z_3, and find that the CNN identifies geometric inconsistency with high accuracy. For inconsistent brane tilings that can be rendered consistent by Higgsing a single bifundamental chiral field, we show that gradient-based saliency analysis can be used to localize the responsible chiral fields with accuracy well above a matched random baseline. These results demonstrate that explainable AI (XAI) can be used to identify local defects responsible for inconsistencies in supersymmetric gauge theories.
We study the gauging of discrete symmetries of the 5d rank-one $E_n$ SCFTs that fix the Coulomb branch coordinate but act nontrivially on the Higgs branch chiral ring. Using generalized toric polygons and $(p,q)$-brane webs, we identify symmetries of the moduli space that extend to symmetries of the full SCFT. In many...

We present a globally consistent Type IIA $T^6/(\mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2)$ orientifold with intersecting D6-branes that dynamically solves the strong CP problem via the four-form flux mechanism. The construction satisfies all RR tadpole, K-theory, and SUSY conditions, stabilizes all moduli, and uplifts to dS va...
Quiver-invariant dualities relate distinct 4d N=1 supersymmetric gauge theories that arise as worldvolume theories on a D3-brane probing the same toric Calabi-Yau 3-fold. These dual theories share an identical quiver and differ only in their superpotentials. We show that quiver-invariant dualities are realized by tilti...

Planar parity-preserving tensor networks (ppTNs) admit a fermionic formulation in which the Gaussian, efficiently contractible limit is deformed by local interactions. We investigate how many-body methods can be used to analyze such contractions in a minimal two-parameter ppTN. Its contraction is simultaneously an inte...

A preliminary analysis of neuron scattering amplitudes that contribute order-by-order in $1/N$, which provides a field-theoretic framework for studying higher-point correlations, and by extension information propagation, in deep networks.
In this work, we define $(3+1)$-dimensional topological quantum field theories (TQFTs) and their lattice realizations with input data given by a pivotal fusion 2-category; more precisely, our framework applies in wider generality to presemisimple locally fusion pivotal tensor $2$-categories, which are equipped with a s...
