Data Acquisition Method for Compressive Sensing-Based Dynamic Resolution Single Pixel Camera
Abstract
Single-pixel cameras (SPCs) offer a compact and cost-effective imaging solution for spectral ranges where conventional sensor arrays are costly or impractical. However, long reconstruction times and the lack of intermediate visual feedback significantly limit their applicability in real-time scenarios. In this work, we propose a progressive data acquisition and reconstruction framework that enables early visual previews and accelerates the reconstruction process. By initially capturing low-resolution measurements using structured block masks, our method reconstructs coarse image previews that are progressively refined through selective measurement allocation. A key novelty of our approach is the design of scale-compatible masks that allow reusing previous measurements in higher-resolution reconstruction, thanks to a block-consistent DMD modulation scheme. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method reduces execution time while preserving reconstruction quality.
