Emotion recognition system based on artificial intelligence optoelectronic technology

Sep 2026 · International Conference on Optoelectronic Information and New Energy Technology (OINET 2026) · pp. 19

Abstract

In the context of psychological care for adolescents and safety monitoring for the elderly, traditional emotion monitoring devices face challenges such as low accuracy in single-modal recognition, cloud data leakage, and high hardware costs. This paper designs an emotion recognition system based on artificial intelligence optoelectronic technology. The system employs an ESP32-S3 main control unit paired with a K230 computing chip in a heterogeneous collaborative architecture, integrating visual optical flow imaging, voice, and physiological signal multimodal optoelectronic perception solutions. By completing lightweight YOLO model local deployment through INT8 quantization, all sensitive data is processed offline at the edge and stored securely, accompanied by a three-tier progressive emotional intervention mechanism. This solution balances low cost, privacy security, and real-time response capability, providing a feasible approach for optoelectronic edge intelligent devices in the livelihood sector.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

Solving a 31-year-old grand challenge in mathematics – the KLS conjecture

For decades, a fundamental question about the difficulty of computing in high-dimensional spaces has resisted proof. New research resolves this question, removing a major theoretical obstacle to understanding the efficiency of randomized algorithms used across science and computing. The Kannan–Lovász–Simonovits (KLS) conjecture was proposed in 1995. It asks whether, for a broad class of high-dimensional […] The post Solving a 31-year-old grand challenge in mathematics – the KLS conjecture appear…
