Abstract
In urban areas, people are systematically exposed to fine particulate matter (PM(2.5)) while commuting or engaging in public activities. Therefore, it is crucial to use devices for measuring PM(2.5). Low-cost sensors (LCS) are an emerging technology with the potential to enable accurate measurements at a fraction of the cost and on a mobile platform. This study provides insights into the construction, programming, and calibration of LCS-equipped devices, along with the initial findings from pedestrian measurements on streets and avenues in the historic center of Puebla. The results show that, in addition to vehicle emissions, the resuspension of particulate matter by automobiles at pedestrian crossings is an essential factor for PM(2.5) exposure among individuals who halt at traffic lights. PM(2.5) levels in several areas of Puebla City’s historic center exceed permitted levels, underscoring the importance of this research for public health.
Elevated ambient particulate matter levels have become a critical urban sustainability concern in India, endangering health and well‐being (UN SDG 3) of a vast section of the population. We present an exploratory seasonal analysis (ESA) of the ambient PM

Fine particulate (PM2.5) is a potentially toxic entity with diverse sources. This study measured ambient PM2.5 concentrations and identified the major sources at the Winneba Highway Intersection (WHI) and the Apam Fish-smoking Community (AFC). Particulate samples were collected using a Gent sampler fitted with a Gast p...

Particulate Matter (PM) exposure from ambient air has been linked to a number of ailments, and monitoring is necessary in every industrial areas or centers to identify overexposure early. This study's assessed the concentrations of PM2.5, PM10, and related gaseous pollutants in Ibom Power Company, Ikot Abasi, Nigeria,...
