Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Akhlak dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam untuk Menghadapi Tantangan Era Digital: Kajian Literatur
Abstract
The development of digital technology has significantly transformed patterns of interaction, behavior, and character formation among the younger generation. On the one hand, the digital era provides broad access to information and knowledge; on the other hand, it presents challenges such as moral degradation, declining communication ethics, irresponsible dissemination of information, and weakening internalization of moral values. This condition requires Islamic Religious Education to strengthen strategies for cultivating moral values that remain relevant to contemporary developments. This study aims to analyze the concept of internalizing moral values in Islamic Religious Education as an effort to address the challenges of the digital era. The study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were obtained through an examination of the Qur’an, hadith, Islamic literature, academic books, scholarly journal articles, and relevant official documents. The data were analyzed using content analysis through data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conceptual synthesis. The findings indicate that internalizing moral values in Islamic Religious Education is a gradual process involving exemplary behavior, habituation, advice, supervision, and reinforcement of the educational environment. In the digital era, this process needs to be integrated with digital literacy, media ethics, critical thinking skills, and self-control to enable students to use technology responsibly in accordance with Islamic values. This study proposes a conceptual synthesis in which effective moral internalization in the digital era requires the integration of spiritual, moral, social, intellectual, and digital ethical dimensions, enabling Islamic Religious Education to remain relevant in shaping students’ character amid technological development.
