Entrevistas cruzadas: Modos para re-visar la práctica
Abstract
The conversational exchange between artist-researchers is proposed as a methodological device within Practice as Research (PaR), aimed at thinking through practice as it unfolds. Through the cross-interview format, dialogue becomes a form of co-research that displaces hierarchical distinctions between researcher and researched, enabling creative processes to be observed from a relational perspective. The notion of re-visiting structures this exercise as a critical operation —a return to the practice guided by another gaze. Opening a space in which the affective, bodily, and material dimensions of artistic making, often excluded from academic records, can emerge. In this sense, conversation thus operates as an epistemological practice that allows research to be narrated from within its process. The interviews address the respective investigations of Valentina Inostroza, focused on cooking, domestic objects, and processes of decomposition as feminist tactics linked to revenge art, while Katya Noriega explores fermentation and the interdependence between human and non-human bodies. Ultimately, this cross-interview is proposed as a feminist methodology of critical accompaniment that affirms thinking-in-company as a condition for knowledge production in artistic research.
