O QUE DIZEM OS MANUAIS ACERCA DAS DISCIPLINAS HUMANÍSTICAS?
Abstract
The concept of law as a science remains a complex issue within the humanities. While some scholars see sociology, philosophy, and related disciplines as integral to juridical science, others argue for their separation, highlighting Law as (only) being normative. It often surfaces implicitly in texts like "Introdução ao Estudo do Direito" (IED) manuals. This study seeks to identify the positions taken by authors of eight IED manuals through the lens of "Análise Dialógica do Discurso." From a Bakhtinian perspective, history is constructed through verbal expression, where subjects reflect and refract ideologies shaped through their enunciations in dialogue with prior utterances. By analyzing both what is said—and unsaid—alongside historical and contextual aspects, this research identifies patterns of behavior in enunciators regarding a given theme. Rather than isolating these behaviors, the study highlights their interconnectedness, revealing the dialogical nature of discourse and its role in shaping juridical thought.
